What was required by the end user and why?
Our brief was to create an upmarket reception area for this brand new, state-of-the-art dental practice located in the City of London. The client wanted to create an area that was welcoming and inviting to patients and visitors, while at the same time ensuring that clinical hygiene standards were adhered to.
What was the solution put forward?
Working with the team at Hague Dental Supplies, we designed a bespoke reception desk complete with wall-mounted illuminated signage. We also created a bespoke corner seating area for visitors.
What materials were used?
1. Bespoke Reception Desk with Return and Scribe around Column
Finished with White Levanto Marble Egger Laminate and Grey Arizona Oak Egger Laminate Feature slats.
2. Bespoke Corner Upholstered Waiting Seats
Finished in Grey Arizona Oak Egger Laminate and upholstered in Camira Manilla Satsuma faux leather fabric.
3. Illuminated Signage
'Finsbury Dental' rectangular sign is finished in powder coated white with a vinyl grey edge, and the brass/gold letters are mounted inside with LED illumination.
Any issues that needed to be overcome?
We had to accommodate the wraparound of the low-level section of the reception desk around the dividing wall which we built and scribed to suit.
The outcome - Now that the installation is complete, did it meet the client’s expectations?
The client was very happy with the outcome and has commented that the space feels fresh, vibrant, and modern; all in keeping with the high-end look they were hoping to achieve for the practice.
